Annalise Murphy has won the bronze medal in the Laser Radial class at the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta in Weymouth.

Murphy had a great day, winning the final medal race which brought her from fifth overall to third overall on the leader board. She has repeated her performance from the 2011 Sail for Gold Regatta where she also won the bronze.

ISA Performance Director James O’Callaghan said “This is a fantastic result from Annalise. She was perfectly focused during the medal race and she delivered the goods”.

Ryan Seaton & Matt McGovern have finished seventh overall in the 49er class, moving up three places. The duo had a good medal race in which they finished fifth.

Overall they’ve had a very successful regatta with a total of three race wins.

O’Callaghan remarked “It’s great time in the season for the boys to post personal best. They’ll come away from this regatta with a huge confidence boost”.
