Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll could be ruled out of Leinster's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Clermont-Auvergne.

O'Driscoll's Ireland ended their RBS 6 Nations campaign with a disappointing defeat to Scotland at Croke Park on Saturday.

His day got off to a dream start as he scored Ireland's first try in the opening minutes but the Ireland captain played most of the second half with strapping on his leg after twisting it.

It has been reported that he could be out of action for up to six weeks, but the full extent of the injury will not be known until he undergoes a scan.

If O'Driscoll was forced out for six weeks, he would miss Leinster's clash with Clermont on 9 April.

O'Driscoll's fellow Leinster and Ireland centre Gordon D'Arcy is also set for a scan after picking up a groin injury during the match.
