Six of Ireland’s Championship-winning players have been shortlisted for the Six Nations player of the tournament.

Forwards Cian Healy and Jamie Heaslip are recognised for their work in the setpiece and around the field. Backs Andrew Trimble, Brian O’Driscoll, Rob Kearney and Jonathan Sexton are also on the list of 16 players.

England have the next highest number of nominated players, with four of the runners-up on the shortlist. France backs Brice Dulin and Yoann Huget are shortlisted. Two Wales players, Taulupe Faletau and Sam Warburton, are in the running, and Italy and Scotland manage just one player each.

Members of the public can vote for their player of the tournament on the Six Nations website. Voting closes at midnight on Wednesday 19 March.
