Connacht could welcome back Fionn Carr and Craig Ronaldson for their Pro12 clash against the Cardiff Blues on Saturday at the Sportsground after the pair resumed full training.

Carr and Ronaldson look to have overcome knee and groin problems, respectively.

Connacht will be looking to leap-frog the Blues, who lie three points ahead of them in eighth spot in the Pro12 table.

Substitute hooker Dave Heffernan has also returned to training after missing the last round against Munster with a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old, who recently signed a contract extension to play at the Sportsground next season, will be available for selection this week.

Nathan White (calf), Tiernan O'Halloran (quad) and Paul O'Donohoe (back) remain unavailable.
