Coach Matt O’Connor has made seven changes to the Leinster side for Friday night’s RaboDirect PRO12 clash with the Ospreys at Liberty Stadium, kick-off 7.05pm.

O'Connor is resting some tired legs and players with knocks after last weekend's bruising quarter-final defeat to Toulon in the Heineken Cup.

South African Zane Kirchner starts on the right wing in place of the injured Fergus McFadden, while Noel Reid is brought in at inside centre, leaving Gordon D’Arcy to adopt the number 13 jersey as Brian O’Driscoll drops out of the match-day squad.

Scrum-half Eoin Reddan coming in for Isaac Boss is the only other change in the backs.

In the front row, Sean Cronin and Martin Moore are handed starting chances, while Leo Cullen comes into the team at lock as well as captaining the side.

The final change to the pack sees Kevin McLaughlin picked at blindside flanker, with Rhys Ruddock dropping out of the squad.

The bench includes Luke McGrath, Collie O’Shea, Michael Bent, Mike Ross, Devin Toner and Jordi Murphy.

Leinster go into the game in Wales as PRO12 league leaders with a five-point lead over second-placed Munster.

Leinster: Rob Kearney; Zane Kirchner, Gordon D’Arcy, Noel Reid, Dave Kearney; Jimmy Gopperth, Isaac Boss; Cian Healy, Sean Cronin, Martin Moore; Leo Cullen (capt.), Mike McCarthy; Kevin McLaughlin, Shane Jennings, Jamie Heaslip.

Replacements: Aaron Dundon, Michael Bent, Mike Ross, Devin Toner, Jordi Murphy, Luke McGrath, Collie O’Shea, Darragh Fanning.
