Hooker Ethienne Reynecke looks set to return to the Connacht side for Friday’s RaboDirect PRO12 trip to face Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade.

The Connacht squad trained in Galway yesterday and Reynecke has receovered from a recent calf injury and is available for selection this week.

Meanwhile, versatile forward George Naoupu is still nursing an ankle injury and will continue to be monitored over the next few weeks.

But Connacht are still missing several players for Friday’s clash as TJ Anderson, Eoin Griffin, Frank Murphy, John Muldoon, Dave Nolan and Kyle Tonetti remain out injured.

The team to face Dragons will be announced by noon on Friday.
