Munster back-rower Nick Williams and Leinster prop Stan Wright have escaped sanction for incidents during last Saturday's Magners League clash at the RDS.

The match, won 16-6 by Leinster, was an exciting but occasionally fractious affair and both Williams and Wright were cited for separate incidents in the first half.

Williams was cited for a alleged stamp on Leinster out-half Jonathan Sexton in the 20th minute while Wright was cited for an alleged punch on Munster's Alan Quinlan in the 25th.

The citings were upheld by an IRFU panel in Belfast today but it was also decided that no further action was required as neither incident warranted a red card.

The decision means Wright is free to play in the Magners League final against the Ospreys on 29 May while Williams, who has been released by Munster, is also not subject to any suspension.
