Connacht coach Eric Elwood has moved to strengthen his squad by signing South African Dylan Rogers and New Zealander Rodney Ah You.
Rogers played with the University of Cape Town before being called up to the Griqualand West side in the Vodacom Cup this season whilst Ah You, who has been capped by New Zealand at U19 and U20 joins Connacht from Canterbury (NPC).
Both props can play on either side of the scrum giving Elwood plenty of options up front and are a welcome addition with Robbie Morris sidelined through injury.
'We're delighted to have the two guys on board' said Elwood. 'They offer us options to mix our team up a bit, the inclusion of the Italian teams in this year's Magners League means an extra 25% games and with the Amlin Challenge Cup as well it is important to be able to give guys a rest and rotate the squad.
'We are also very happy to be able to give these young promising rugby players a chance to prove their worth on the big stage.
'Connacht have always offered opportunities for players to hold their hand up and rise to the challenge, these guys are big mobile forwards and we feel they will fit into our setup very well.'
Meanwhile Elwood has included recent signing Barry Fa'amausili in his squad to face Benetton Treviso in the Magners League on Saturday.
Fa'amausili join centurion Brett Wilkinson in a blend of experience and youth.
Academy graduates Dermot Murphy and Ronan Loughney, along with Adrian Flavin and Jamie Hagan make up the front row while Cillian Willis, Frank Murphy, Miah Nikora and Ian Keatley make up the half backs.
