Leinster's Jonathan Sexton has had his appeal against suspension for kicking Munster's Lefeimi Mafi dismissed by the Irish Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Appeals Committee.
The committee held a hearing to consider the appeal by Sexton against his two-week suspension after being found guilty of the offence during the Munster v Leinster Magners League game on April 4.
Sexton had been suspended from April 8-22 and the appeals committee decided there was 'reckless use of the boot' and the citing was upheld and the appeal was dismissed.
