IRFU announce new Strategic Plan

The Irish Rugby Football Union today revealed its second Strategic Plan for Irish rugby – ‘Building on Solid Foundations’.
The new Strategic Plan, for the period 2008 to 2012, will build on the success of the first four year plan, which led to the number of players increasing from 85,000 to near 120,000 and revenues growing from 37.35 to 55 million euro in 2008.
The Strategic Plan focuses on the provision of quality in all aspects of the domestic game, on increasing the number of adult players, success through winning teams in the professional game and a 25% revenue growth target to reach 69 million euro by 2012 has also been set.
