The Ireland women’s rugby team will make their Aviva Stadium debut directly after Ireland’s clash with Italy on 8 March.

The current Grand Slam champions host Italy in their penultimate 6 Nations match, and the IRFU have confirmed it will kick-off 40 minutes after the men’s game ends, around 5pm.

Supporters with tickets to the men’s match can stay on for the women’s game, while tickets can also be bought separately for the second game at a cost of €10 for adults and €5 for children.

The union have also announced that any clubs that currently field a women’s team will receive €400 to defray travelling costs to the game.
