New Zealand have added three more players to an expanded squad for their final two matches in the Tri-Nations.

Flanker Adam Thomson, lock Tom Donnelly and utility back Colin Slade all joined the All Blacks on Thursday to provide extra cover for unexpected injuries and to give the selectors additional options.

The All Blacks host South Africa in Hamilton on 12 September then Australia in Wellington a week later.

They have a slim mathematical chance of retaining the title if they win both their matches and South Africa lose against the Australians and fail to secure a bonus point on Saturday.
