Leinster to be without Fitzgerald
Updated: Thursday, 19 Jan 2012 17:18
Luke Fitzgerald is almost certain to miss Leinster's Heineken Cup clash with Montpellier at the RDS on Saturday thanks to a neck injury.
Fitzgerald has been struggling with the injury since picking it up during his side's St Stephen's Day victory over Ulster and it appears to have flared up again.
"I don't think Luke will be available unfortunately," Leinster coach Joe Schmidt said.
"He is probably a week or even just a day away. That's how fine the line is and we had a six-day turnaround (from the win over Glasgow)."
However Schmidt should be able to call on the services of Johnny Sexton who appears to have shaken off an ankle injury. "Jonny is coming along pretty well," the Leinster boss revealed.
