Musgrave Park is Munster's only Irish option

European champions Munster may have to play their home games abroad

Munster have confirmed that Musgrave Park in Cork is the only stadium in Ireland being considered for any possible home quarter-final in the Heineken Cup.

With Lansdowne Road currently being redeveloped and the GAA ruling out any of their stadiua being used, Munster's options are limited.

Leinster already confirmed that they are in talks with a number of stadium owners in Britain, should they have home advantage in the knock-out stages.

Leinster's Donnybrook stadium has a capacity of about 6,000 and home sides must apportion 25% of the tickets to visiting supporters, so they are unlikely to play there.

The Madejski Stadium in Reading and Murrayfield in Scotland are believed to be the most likely candidates should Leinster choose to go abroad.

However, they still have the option of play in Ulster's Ravenhill stadium which can, with additional seating, hold a capacity crowd of 19,000.

Both provinces have until February 12 to submit their nomination of a venue to the ERC.
