Three-time champions Leinster will face two-time champions Wasps at the RDS Arena on 19 October.

Anthony Foley's Munster will face Sale Sharks away at the AJ Bell Stadium on 18 October in their opening clash.

The third Irish province, Ulster, face a challenging away trip to Leicester Tigers' fortress Welford Road, also on 18 October.

Top 14 winners and two-time defending European champions RC Toulon will kick off their Pool 3 campaign at their home Stade Félix Mayol against Scarlets on 19 October.

Reigning Aviva Premiership champions Northampton Saints travel to Jonny Sexton's Racing Métro 92 at Stade Yves-du-Manoir in Pool 5 for their first battle on 18 October.

In the Challenge Cup, Ireland's final province Connacht start with a home tie against La Rochelle at the Sportsground on 18 October.

Round two sees Leinster travel to Castres Olympique, Munster host last year's beaten finalists Saracens and Ulster welcoming Toulon to Belfast.

Connacht face Exeter Chiefs away in their round two encounter.
