Adam Jones appears set for a switch to Bristol from Ospreys

Wales and Ospreys prop Adam Jones is set to join English Championship side Bristol, according to Wales Online.

It is reported that Jones has turned down an offer of a central contract with the WRU, as well as saying no to a new deal with Ospreys.

If the move goes ahead, Jones will link up with former Ospreys team-mates Ryan Jones, Ian Evans and Matthew Morgan.

The English side are also coached by former Ospreys boss Sean Holley.

The possible move will come as a blow to the WRU, as they seek to keep their international talent in the Principality.

The governing body had earmarked six players, Jones himself, Sam Warburton, Leigh Halfpenny, Rhys Priestland, Scott Williams and Alun Wyn Jones, as targets for central contracts. Warburton is the only player who has signed one.

Halfpenny has decided to make a switch to Heineken Cup-holders Toulon, out-half Priestland and centre Williams decided to stay with the Scarlets and Alun Wyn Jones with the Ospreys.
