Jamie Heaslip has opened talks with Toulon and Montpellier after negotiations with the IRFU stalled according to reports this morning.

The Irish Times has claimed that Heaslip is in France to discuss a potential move to the Top 14 league.

The reports also stated that Heaslip does not want to leave Dublin but the initial contract offer made to the Ireland international is off the table.

Jonathan Sexton left Leinster for Racing Metro earlier this year and while the IRFU has recently avoided losing further top stars, Heaslip's depature would be a major blow.
