Leinster centre Gordon D’Arcy will miss Friday’s Amlin Challenge Cup final against Stade Français at the RDS.

D’Arcy suffered a recurrence of the calf injury which had limited his on-field activity in recent weeks and his absence was confirmed at a training session in UCD on Tuesday afternoon.

Brian O’Driscoll continues to recover from a back spasm which curtailed his involvement in Saturday night’s RaboDirect Pro12 semi-final victory against Glasgow Warriors.

Sean O’Brien is expected to be available after missing the Glasgow encounter with an ankle injury, while Dave Kearney is also set to return to action after a five-week absence.

Out-half Jonathan Sexton is poised to pass the 1000-point mark as he is just one point short of that milestone after 108 appearances for Leinster.
