Ian Humphreys is set to quit Ulster at the end of the season to sign for English Premiership side London Irish.

The Ulster out-half was dropped for the Heineken Cup semi-final and is now unlikely to feature in the starting XV in the season finale against Leinster at Twickenham.

Humphreys still has a year to run on his Ulster contract but is expected to join up with fellow Irish man Tomas O’Leary at the Madejski Stadium once this season is over.

The former Leicester Tigers player has been named on the bench for Ulster's RaboDirect PRO12 match against Munster on Saturday.
