Bumper month of rugby on RTÉ Sport
Friday, 6 November 2009 20:30RTÉ Television and RTÉ.ie will show eight top-class international rugby matches in November, including Ireland's games in the Guinness Series.
Rugby fans are set for a real treat as the best of the northern hemisphere take on the cream of the southern hemisphere with 22 hours of coverage live on RTÉ Two and RTÉ.ie this month.
Grand Slam champions Ireland, world champions and Tri Nations champions South Africa, France, New Zealand, Wales, Argentina, Scotland, Fiji and Australia will all feature.
RTÉ's unrivalled rugby team will be providing expert analysis and opinion at every stage with anchorman Tom McGurk joined by George Hook, Brent Pope and Conor O'Shea.
Former Ireland international and Munster hooker Frankie Sheahan will be joining RTÉ's commentary team alongside Ryle Nugent, Tony Ward, George Hamilton, Ralph Keyes, Mark McDermott and Hugh Cahill, live on RTÉ Two.
The action kicks off this Saturday, 7 November, as Wales take on New Zealand live from the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff with coverage beginning at 5pm on RTÉ Two.
RTÉ.ie will be simultaneously streaming all eight matches within the island of Ireland. RTÉ.ie are also giving fans worldwide a chance to watch exclusive online post-match programmes with RTÉ Sport's renowned rugby team following Ireland's three games in the Guinness Series.
