Hayes hit with a six week suspension

Munster's John Hayes has been handed a six week suspension for a stamp on Cian Healy during last Saturday's 30-0 Magners League defeat against Leinster.

As the suspension will run from the date of the offence, it ends on Saturday 14 November and will allow Hayes to play in the November international series for Ireland, if selected.

However, Hayes will miss the first two games in Munster's Heineken Cup campaign.

The player has the right to appeal this decision.
