English Premiership champions Wasps have confirmed the signings of Irish backs Jeremy Staunton and Eoin Reddan.

The versatile Staunton, 25, who earned his solitary Irish cap against Samoa in 2001, arrives from Harlequins.

He can play at fly-half or full-back but joins after an unsuccessful year at the Stoop where he struggled to fill the boots of previous Quins kicker Paul Burke.

The signing of scrum-half Reddan, 24, from Munster comes in the wake of Peter Richards' departure to Gloucester.

Reddan, an Ireland under-21 international, will have his work cut out to claim the number nine jersey as he will be in competition with Lions star Matt Dawson.
