Single scullers Paul O’Donovan and Holly Nixon have both qualified for the A final at the World Rowing Junior Championships in England.
O'Donovan from Skibereen and Fermanagh’s Nixon both won their semi-finals on Saturday afternoon and will look for a repeat performance on Sunday at Dorney Lake.
O'Donovan made his move in the final 500 metres and won a battle with Andrii Mykhailov of Ukraine for victory, while Nixon, from the Portora club in Enniskillen, got out in front early on in her semi-final and won well.
The women's A Final is scheduled for 11.30am on Sunday, followed by the men's A Final at 11.45am.
Dorney Lake will be Olympic rowing venue next year.
