UCD win Big Pot at Irish Rowing Championships

UCD won the the men's senior eights title - otherwise known as the Big Pot - at the Irish Rowing Champioships at Farran Wood in Cork today.

The crew battled their way through wild, gusting wind and choppy water to beat defending champions NUIG/Grainne Mhaol by 2.3 seconds.

UCD's women's senior eight made it a double when they saw off a spirited challenge by Muckross.
