Impressive Prix Morny winner Dabirsim will stay in France for his next start and take in the Prix Jean Luc Lagardere, rather than the Middle Park at Newmarket.

Trainer Christophe Ferland has decided against bringing the exciting juvenile over to England, and will instead give him a lengthy break before the big Group One race on Arc de Triomphe day, 2 October, at Longchamp.

Frankie Dettori will keep the ride on the colt.

"It was a very good result and fantastic to win a big race, especially in Deauville as the atmosphere was fantastic," Ferland told At The Races.

"I expected that he was that good. At the beginning of the year I didn't dream of having a good horse like him.

"It's very kind that people rate him as the best two-year-old and, yes, I do agree. We have to wait to see the others run, but so far he is the best one in France.

"Is he the best one in Europe? I don't know, we need to run against the other good horses in the UK but he's won the premier Group One.

"The horse hasn't been entered in the Middle Park and I think I'm going to give him a seven-week break before the Prix Lagardere on Arc day.

"Frankie Dettori will ride him again."
