This afternoon's meeting at Kelso has been abandoned due to a frozen track.

An 8am inspection had been called by clerk of the course Hazel Peplinski and her team but some 30 minutes earlier the decision was taken that the overnight frost had got too deep into the ground with no prospect of the temperatures rising quickly enough to enable a thaw.

Peplinski tweeted: "Racing @KelsoRacecourse has been ABANDONED due to frozen track and no prospect of sufficient thaw this morning due to very low temps."
