Monday and Tuesday's meetings at Southwell have been abandoned due to waterlogging, while Wednesday's meeting is subject to an inspection.

Elsewhere, Wednesday's meeting at Fontwell is under threat with an inspection called for 3pm on Monday.

The track is reported to be heavy, waterlogged in places with patches of false ground after 20 millimetres of rain in the last 24 hours.

Clerk of the course Ed Arkell said: "We have a dryish day forecast today and then another band of rain is due to move in around midnight tonight and stay through tomorrow.

"That could give us another 15mm of rain and I don't think we will be able to cope with that.

"We are not raceable at present and further rain will not help."
