Ed Dunlop has confirmed that four-time Group 1 winner Snow Fairy is likely to take up an engagement in the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday week.

The filly, who won last year's Irish Oaks at the Curragh, finished second behind Midday in the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on her most recent outing, but was a late withdrawal from the Yorkshire Oaks due to the ground.

Her trainer intended to switch his filly to France for last Sunday's Prix Jean Romanent at Deauville but an obscure rule prevented her from running.

Dunlop is now hoping to take on So You Think with his star filly in what promises to be a cracking renewal of the Champion Stakes.
