Willie Mullins expressed disappointment for jockey Katie Walsh after Our Monty was ruled out of the John Smith's Grand National with a leg infection.
The eight-year-old gelding had crept into the field at the bottom of the weights, but will now be sidelined for the Aintree contest.
Our Monty, a big-priced outsider for the National, was due to be Walsh's first ride in the race.
Mullins told the Telegraph: ‘I'm disappointed for the owners, and for Katie, that this should have happened on the eve of the National.’
