Quito seeks Supreme improvement

Quito could bid to atone for a lacklustre effort last time in Tuesday's Group Three Merbury Catering Consultants Supreme Stakes at Goodwood.
The David Chapman-trained nine-year-old had five runs in quick succession at the end of last month and beginning of this month, including Listed wins at York and Haydock.
He was also only beaten a neck when runner-up to Reverence in the Group One Betfred Sprint Cup in between but he seemed out of sorts when only seventh in the Park Stakes at York on St Leger day.
Chapman said: 'We ran him five times in quick succession and we just went to the well once too often at York, but his rest has done him good and he's bounced back. I think he will run at Goodwood and Robert Winston will ride him.
'He has won three Listed races this season and was only beaten a neck in the Group One so it would be nice to win a Group Three race with him. He's in great form but we're hoping for a drop of rain. If it's fast ground, he probably won't run.'
Quito has won 20 of his 108 starts but he has yet to score in Pattern-race company.
