Another Carberry name entered the winners enclosure at the Cheltenham Festival when Nina Carberry, aged 20, turned the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle into a procession aboard Dabiroun.

The 20-1 shot powered into the lead coming down the hill after the second-last flight and soon put daylight between himself and his rivals.

Charging towards the final hurdle, Carberry - sister of Harchibald's jockey Paul - had already established a healthy advantage and came home eight lengths in front of At Your Request (33-1), with National State and Miss Academy filling
the other places.

Afterwards Ms Carberry added: "I thought I had most of them covered and the one in front was the only one to beat. Then someone shouted `Go on, Nina, you can win', so I went.

"It was a very emotional moment. Paul came over and said well done, and I admit I had a tear in my eye. This is my best win big-time, and in my first ride at the Festival.

"I thought Paul would win the Champion Hurdle but Hardy proved just too hardy. My dad (former top jockey Tommy) gave me advice on how to ride the course, and everything worked out perfect."
