Jockey Andrew Lynch is optimistic the shoulder injury he sustained at Fairyhouse on Sunday is nothing too severe.

Lynch fell from Sizing Machine at the last fence of a two-mile-one-furlong novice handicap chase and plans to fully assess the damage later in the week.

He said: "I'm a bit tender and sore, so I'll just see how things are in a day or two.

"Hopefully it won't be anything too serious, you'd like to think not anyway."
