Boston Bob reverts to the smaller obstacles at the Kildare venue

Boston Bob seeks to rediscover some confidence on his return to hurdles in the Follow Punchestown On Facebook at Punchestown on Tuesday.

Willie Mullins' charge was one of the brightest stars in the novice chasing ranks last term and looked set to underline his class with victory in the RSA Chase, until he took a heartbreaking fall when a length clear at the last.

A similarly agonising tumble followed at this venue in April, and the champion trainer will hope he can dispel his jumping demons before going on to bigger and better things in 2014.

The master of Closutton will hope to have had a winner by the time Boston Bob goes to post in the opening Buy Your 2014 Annual Membership Beginners Chase at 12:45.

Touch The Eden shaped as if he wanted further when plugging on behind Foxrock at Fairyhouse last month, and that rival was third in a Grade 1 at Punchestown on Sunday, so the form looks solid.

His jockey, Ruby Walsh, will also be hoping to guide Troll D'Oudaires to victory in the punchestown.com Handicap Chase.

Martin Brassil's contender cruised into contention over a sterner test recently and may well appreciate the drop in distance this time around.

Like Boston Bob earlier in the card, Barneys Honour is another horse returning to the smaller obstacles in search of victory in the Buy Your Tickets Online At www.punchestown.com Handicap Hurdle.

The son of City Honours thrives in testing conditions and may well have the ability to concede weight all round in this company.

Another competitive handicap hurdle follows that event, with Getoutwhenyoucan looking an interesting contender after an improved effort at Tramore earlier in the month.

Indian Icon can confirm some of the promise he has exhibited in the Festival Hospitality On Sale 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.

The Dessie Hughes colt got to within two and three-quarter lengths of Pattern performer Clarcam on his hurdles debut and it will be interesting to see if he can live up to that billing.
