Rule The World is set to tackle the Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on 1 December after being forced to miss the Lismullen Hurdle.

Trainer Mouse Morris has had to rejig his plans after a minor infection prevented the Neptune Novices' Hurdle runner-up from tackling the Grade Two event at Navan.

However, after already recovering from a serious injury he sustained at Punchestown in April, Morris is unconcerned by the latest setback.

"He'll go to Fairyhouse now for the Hatton's Grace. It's unfortunate he couldn't run today but that's the way the cards are dealt," said Morris.

"He's just got a bit of an infection in a leg.

"If it was another horse you might take the chance and run it, but with him we don't want to take any chances. Because we've treated it, that means he can't run.

"It could be worse, after what happened to him at Punchestown every day is a bonus."
