Colm Murphy is praying for rain ahead of Quito De La Roque's intended run in the Star Best For Racing Coverage Chase at Punchestown on Thursday.

The County Wexford handler reports the nine-year-old none the worse for his fall at the last fence in the PWC Champion Chase at Gowran earlier this month.

That was the dual Grade One winner's first run since the Punchestown Gold Cup in April and Murphy would not mind running Quito De La Roque if conditions were suitable.

"If the rain comes he'll probably run. He seems good after his spill the last day. He seems fine and we're happy with him," said Murphy.

Owners Gigginstown House Stud also have First Lieutenant, Roi Du Mee and Tofino Bay in the Grade Three contest over two miles and seven furlongs.
