Triumph Hurdle hero Our Conor is set to have a run on the Flat in the Irish Cesarewitch before embarking on what could be an exciting jumps campaign.

Owner Barry Connell revealed that the four-year-old will have his first run in his colours in the staying handicap at the Curragh on 13 October before going back over obstacles in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown in November.

Connell purchased the Dessie Hughes-trained gelding following his impressive victory at the Cheltenham Festival and is looking forward to seeing him back in action.

"He's been back in training a couple of months and we're going to start him off in the Irish Cesarewitch," he said.

"His first hurdles race will be a Graded race in Punchestown in the middle of November, the Morgiana.

"Everything is A1. We are looking forward to the season with him and hopefully we will get a clear run.

"He seems to have done well over the summer period so we're looking forward to starting him off.

"He's rated 84 on the Flat so he'll have a nice weight in the Cesarewitch."
