Connections of Minsk will look for a bit of ease in the ground before giving the Flat and hurdles winner his first run over fences.

The Dessie Hughes-trained gelding holds an entry in the Boyle Beginners Chase at Roscommon on Monday but is unlikely to take that up unless the going changes.

Minsk is reported to have schooled well and had his first outing since the Cheltenham Festival when fifth to Eye Of The Storm in a Listed race on the level at Listowel last week.

"He's entered in Roscommon but we're probably going to wait until there's a bit of ease in the ground," said owner Barry Connell.

"He could be out in the next week or so. He jumps very well, so he's on track.

"He had a pipeopener at Listowel and he needed the run."
