With Galway looming large on the horizon, action is thin on the ground this weekend and Saturday's Wexford card is the only meeting in Ireland.

Johnny Murtagh will always have a soft spot for Benbecula because he give him his first winner as a trainer at Tramore in June.

He followed up at Fairyhouse, but flopped at the Curragh most recently and Murtagh now reaches for the blinkers ahead of the Slaney Handicap.

His main stumbling block could be Something Graceful, who was fourth in that Curragh contest prior to a Leopardstown second, although she did finish behind Benbecula at Fairyhouse before those efforts.

Fire And Flame is improving with racing and attempts to better last weekend's Curragh second in first-time blinkers in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at 2.15.

Gerard O'Leary puts the headgear on Navan winner Jan Van Eyck, but he crosses swords with recent Killarney victor Capitol Hill in the Sile Seoige Judges Littlewoods Ireland Ladies Day Rated Race, while the consistent Sceilg forms part of a strong team sent to the meeting from Jim Bolger's yard.

The Coolcullen handler, also responsible for the aforementioned Something Graceful, will be hoping Night Invader can build on his recent Leopardstown second in the Racecourse Challenge For Cystic Fibrosis Handicap, but his stable companion Star Power has a Curragh defeat to atone for and, on official figures, has something to find with Murtagh's Manuka in the Gorey Rated Race.

Just one of the 15 declarations for the Audrey McGrath Memorial Handicap has managed to get a win on the board previously, but Seeyouallincoppers hit the crossbar at Killarney a couple of weeks ago and shouldn't be far away from the action again.

John Oxx saddles just the one runner on the day, with Papaya striving to continue her progression in the Littlewoods Ireland Ladies Day Maiden.
