Treacle reverts to hurdles on what would seem a very generous mark when he lines up in the richest race on Roscommon's card, the Leo Dolan Memorial Handicap Hurdle.

Tom Taaffe's veteran came unstuck at the Canal Turn in the Grand National at Aintree but has since run respectably over fences at Killarney and Punchestown and is rated 21lb lower over hurdles than fences.

It's unlikely to be a walk in the park, though, as Golden Kite, Best Value and Courtncatcher all come into the race on the back of victories, while Faanan Aldaar was beaten on the Flat recently but did win on his last hurdles outing.

The meeting gets under way at 5.25 with the Athleague Maiden Hurdle, where Taaffe has booked the services of Ruby Walsh to ride Strategic Bid.

Second at Cork when last seen, he has every chance if back in the same mood, though Shark Hanlon looks well represented with Afatcat and Giantofaman, with Luso's Way also waiting in the wings for the Carlow handler.

Walsh rides Shamar for his boss Willie Mullins in the Easyfix Rubber Products Novice Hurdle, and he is sure to have his supporters after an easy Cork win last time.

Banana Flambe and Benemeade also boast winning hurdles form, though, and are likely to make this a tough test.

Sea Master was upsides the leader when coming to grief late on at Clonmel and will be out to atone in the Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle, where Taaffe's Key People and Charles Byrnes' Evesham Star look the main dangers.

Real Appeal, Coral Creek and Georgie all hold claims in the first division of the Pyramid Bookmakers Handicap Hurdle, while the second division sees recent placegetters Green Thirty Two and Ice Ice Baby bid for a place on the top step of the podium.
