Paul Carberry gave up his five rides at Navan this afternoon after suffering a facial injury when riding work on Monday.
Carberry was riding an unraced horse at trainer Noel Meade's yard when his mount reared over, leaving the jockey with a cut face.
Meade said: "He was riding a breaker yesterday and the horse reared over. Paul had to have eight stitches in his face.
"He's in one piece but he says he can't see well enough to ride today.
"I'm not sure when he'll be back."
