Godolphin have bought a majority share in Jim Bolger's unbeaten juvenile Dawn Approach, the ante-post favourite for next season's Qipco 2000 Guineas.
The son of Derby hero New Approach secured his fourth success from as many starts with a determined display in last week's Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
A statement on the Godolphin website confirmed Dawn Approach would remain in training with Bolger for the rest of the campaign and race in Godolphin's colours.
A decision about his three-year-old career will not be made until "much later" in 2012.
New Approach was trained by Bolger during his two-year-old and three-year-old career, racing during his Classic year in the colours of Princess Haya of Jordan, the wife of Godolphin supremo Sheikh Mohammed.
He now stands as a stallion at Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud and has enjoyed a spectacular first season, with Dawn Approach one of three Royal Ascot winners last week.
Simon Crisford, the Godolphin racing manager, said: "We are delighted Dawn Approach will race for Godolphin and look forward to seeing him race at the highest level throughout his career.
"It is fantastic how well New Approach has started his stallion career and Dawn Approach appears to have inherited many of his qualities."
