Sizing stars at Punchestown

What looked a potential showdown in the Buck House Novice Chase at Punchestown was turned into a procession by Sizing Europe, who put in a faultless display to leave Harchibald toiling in his wake.
Henry De Bromhead's 8-11 favourite signed off a troubled campaign with a victory over fences in May and returned in even better form, with Andrew Lynch motionless in the lead approaching the second-last.
The veteran Harchibald, making his debut over the larger obstacles, tried to get on terms in the home straight, but Sizing Europe was completely in control and came home 17 lengths clear without being extended.
Noel Meade's Casey Jones put up an impressive front-running performance to win the Star 'Best For Racing Coverage' Chase.
The 7-2 chance managed to see off fellow pacesetter One Cool Cookie before the last, and still had enough in the tank to beat Kilcrea Castle by a length and a half under Paul Carberry.
Meade and Carberry initiated a double when Donnas Palm made light work of the opposition in the Listed Ryan's Cleaning Events Specialists Hurdle.
The 4-7 favourite ambled into contention turning for home and after Carberry took a long look round, he pressed the button and came home three and a half lengths in front of Tramp Stamp.
Some Present (13-8) had shown plenty of talent last season and made a smart jumping bow in the Buy Your 2010 Annual Badge Maiden Hurdle.
Despite a couple of sketchy leaps, the Cheltenham Champion Bumper runner-up was never far off the pace under Davy Russell and he sprinted clear after the last to beat Tango Foxtrot by three lengths.
Voler La Vedette landed the Listed Grabel Hurdle in the manner of a smart mare.
The 5-2 chance travelled sweetly for Sean Flanagan before strolling clear after the last to beat Give It Time by four and a half lengths.
