Peter Tchaikovsky made a successful return to the racecourse, despite conceding lumps of weight in the Camembert Quartet Play Live 23rd July Race at Limerick.
Aidan O'Brien's colt had been highly-tried as a juvenile but the Ballydoyle handler has seemingly found his level now, as the 9-2 shot quickened smartly from off the pace under Sean Levey to beat Duaisbhanna by a length and three-quarters.
Aoibhinn was originally only a reserve for the www.limerickraces.ie Handicap but got a run and took full advantage, albeit after a stewards' inquiry.
Pat Flynn's 20-1 outsider came from the rear to score by three-quarters of a length, but favourite-backers can count themselves unlucky because Drombeg Dawn met trouble in running more than once in the straight, before flying home all too late.
Ghost Mist stuck his neck out well to shed his maiden tag as the 9-2 favourite in the Adare Handicap.
David Myerscough's grey held his prominent market position due to his recent Down Royal second and once headed by Luttrell Lady inside the final furlong, he battled for Paul Townend to get up back by three-quarters of a length.
There was a decent prize up for grabs in the Greenmount Annual Members Novice Chase and Decoy Daddy emerged victorious.
Robbie Power dictated terms to suit himself on the 7-2 shot, who was reverting to fences after a hurdling success, and he responded to every one of his rider's questions, crossing the line ahead of Toby Jug and Sonnium.
Quintana (7-2) denied the well-fancied fencing debutant The God Of Love in the Twilight Racing Beginners Chase (Div 1), with the second division going the way of the veteran Emmpat (7-1).
Over at Sligo, the feature Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Hurdle fell to Gentleman Jim (9-4), who accounted for disappointing odds-on favourite Gonebeyondrecall by eight lengths.
