Kerryhead Windfarm runner-up to Cane Brake in the Troytown at Navan in November is on target for the Thyestes Handicap Chase at Gowran Park this Thursday.

His sole previous win over fences came when scoring over 2m5f at Fairyhouse 15 months ago and he will be joined by stable companion and last nonth’s Clonmel winner The Parishioner in the Ellen Construction-sponsored 3m contest.

Michael Hourigan, seeking his first win in the race, said: 'Andrew McNamara will ride Kerryhead Windfarm again and I’m very happy with the horse. He won’t mind the ground and has had a little break since Navan so hopefully he shall give a good account of himself.'
