With David Junior now set to bypass the Baileys Irish Champion Stakes William Hill have installed Aidan O’Brien’s runaway Budweiser Derby winner Dylan Thomas as their new 13-8f for the race.
Nassau winner Ouija Board is next in Hills list at 11-4, followed by Nassau runner-up Alexander Goldrun who’s now available at 9-2 for the Leopardstown contest.
Tony Kenny, William Hills Irish spokesman: 'Obviously it’s a big disappointment that both Electrocutionist and now David Junior are going to miss the Irish Champion stakes, but it still looks like a fabulous race.'
He continued: 'At the moment Dylan Thomas is our clear favourite, but with the leading contenders dropping like flies, who knows, who’ll be favourite come September 9.'
