Cheltenham 2009 on RTÉ

The giants of National Hunt Racing collide in the Cotswolds as the Cheltenham Festival 2009 takes place at Prestbury Park from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 March and you can follow all the action as it happens with RTÉ Sport.


RTÉ RADIO

Live coverage of all the action from the greatest festival in National Hunt Racing on RTÉ Radio 1 is available worldwide via RTÉ.ie/sport.

Coverage begins each day at 1pm on Long Wave 252 and DAB with John Kenny and a host of experts providing the best tips, commentary and analysis on the day's racing.

Derek Mooney and his team of racing analysts take over on FM and Long Wave 252 from 3pm to 4.30pm each day with John Kenny resuming at 4.30pm on Long Wave 252 and DAB with the remaining races.

RTÉ TELEVISION

It's one of the biggest racing events in the world and RTÉ Television will be live with all four days of this year's Cheltenham festival, the jewel in jump racing's crown.

The action gets underway on Tuesday, March 10th with the Champion Hurdle the big race of the day. On Wednesday the Queen Mother Champion Chase takes centre stage, with the Ladbrokes World Hurdle the main feature of the afternoon on day three. Then on Friday it's the much-anticipated Cheltenham Gold Cup, the highlight of the four-day festival.

Join Tracy Piggott with Colm Murray for all the drama and excitement of Cheltenham 2009 starting with live racing at 1.25pm on RTÉ One each day followed by highlights of all the day's action on RTÉ Two at 7pm from Tuesday to Thursday and at 7.30pm on Friday
