Supplementing a horse to the tune of €100,000 without the lure of a potential career as a stallion may prove a gamble too great for Gestut Burg Eberstein

Peter Schiergen's exciting filly Danedream could still be a late addition to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe field if owner Gestut Burg Eberstein pays the hefty supplementary fee.

Cologne-based Schiergen is still weighing up the options for the three-year-old daughter of Lomitas, who was third in the Italian Derby before winning the same nation's Oaks by over six lengths.

Back on home turf she has progressed further, taking the Group One Grosser Preis Von Berlin and then the Grosser Preis Von Baden by equally impressive margins.

But if she is to line up at Longchamp, connections must pay €100,000 on 29 September.

"I am not sure yet what will happen - there is supplementing for the Arc or there is running in the Breeders' Cup," said Schiergen.

"If the owner would like to, we will maybe go to the Arc."
