This afternoon's meeting at Clonmel has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track, while Thursday's Thurles meeting is also off.

Heavy overnight rain has left officials with no choice but to call off the card.

The fixture was set to feature the Grade Three Surehaul Mercedes-Benz Novice Hurdle.

And Thursday's meeting at Thurles has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.

Heavy overnight rain has taken its toll and officials found parts of the track to be unraceable when they checked conditions.

As a result, the seven-race card has been called off.

Elsewhere, Thursday's meeting at Leicester is subject to a 7.45am precautionary inspection on raceday.

The track received six millimetres of rain on Tuesday and further heavy rain is forecast throughout Wednesday.

The course is currently raceable though, with the ground reported to be soft, heavy in places.
