Opera Gal and Sajjhaa failed to trouble the judge in the Premio Lydia Tesio Longines at Capannelle in Italy on Sunday.

Trained by Andrew Balding and Saeed bin Suroor respectively, the British raiders were no match for the Andrea Atzeni-ridden Sortilege, who had one length over Cherry Collect at the line.

Nova Hawk finished third, while Sajjhaa was fourth in the hands of Frankie Dettori.

Opera Gal, ridden by Jimmy Fortune, was seventh of the 11 runners in the Group One over a mile and a quarter.
