Bassett still unbeaten for Fahey

Wootton Bassett the 2/1 favourite maintained his unbeaten record with a battling success in the Weatherbys Insurance £300,000 2-y-o Stakes at Doncaster.
Richard Fahey had resisted the temptation to make the jump into Pattern company with his Iffraaj colt and his owners, Frank Brady & The Cosmic Cases, are now better off to the tune of another £190,000.
Having also won a big sales race at York last month, it was his old adversary from that day, Galtymore Lad, who made him pull out all the stops on 8lb better terms. But the Fahey youngster responded to all Paul Hanagan's urgings to win by a length with his stablemate Premier Clarets third.
